Five Presidents

Our last five Presidents were:

  • Donald Trump (R) 2017
  • Barack Obama (D) 2009 - 2017
  • George W. Bush (R) 2001 - 2009
  • Bill Clinton (D)1993 - 2001
  • George H. W. Bush (R))1989 - 1993

Two of these Presidents were Republicans and two were Democrats.  Donald Trump ran on the Republican ticket, but is more of a populist.  The Republican establishment fought Trump as hard as the Democrats, but Trump won against all odds.
Four of these Presidents were in favor of big government run by the establishment and moving toward globalism.  Trump puts the American working class first.  He is a nationalist and a patriot.
I would like to talk about six political issues facing this country and how these five Presidents dealt with them.  The six issues are trade, taxes, race, immigration, foreign relations, and excessive government regulations.
Four of these Presidents ignored the trade imbalance, and refused to deal with the immigration problem.  They allowed taxes to force companies to move out of the country, and continued to regulate business until the economy and job growth were stifled.  They did not know how to deal with the race issues and the decline of our urban areas.  Obama did the most damage with his racist agenda.
You may not like President Trump personally.  He says what he thinks and does what he says.  He is often not politically correct.  He is, without question, the most transparent President of the five.
President Trump is putting America first.  He is not a globalist.  He is working for free and fair trade.  He recognizes that securing our southern border is essential before comprehensive immigration is possible.  He has reduced taxes and cut government regulations so the economy is booming.  Minorities are working and better off than in years, because Trump treats all Americans as equals.  With a strong economy and military, Trump can deal with world powers from a position of strength and respect.  We don’t have to buy their friendship as we have in the past.
President Trump has done more for this country on all six issues in less than two years than the previous four Presidents did in 14 years combined.  This Thanksgiving, I gave thanks for President Trump.

$5,000,000,000 Wasted

We just had a mid-term election.  It cost five billion dollars.  What did we get for this money?  It was a waste.  The only positive thing was that it helped the bottom lines of some advertising industries.
How many homeless could be helped with $5 billion dollars?  How many veterans could be helped with $5 billion dollars?  How many lives could be helped or saved with &5 billion dollars?
Both political parties felt they had to outspend the other side.  Most ads were a joke.  They bashed the opponent and seldom addressed any policy issues.  Most people don’t watch TV ads or read flyers anyway.  Informed voters do not make up their mind based on a TV ad or a mailer.
This lunacy of wasting money on political campaigns must stop.  Most elected politicians are more concerned about raising money for their next election than they are about representing the constituents who elected them.
There was a movement called MOP or Money Out of Politics.  I was and am in favor of this, but the campaign was handled badly.  The movement attempted to get a referendum on ballots.  Unfortunately it was written with such offensive partisan language that our county board of supervisors refused to even bring it up for a vote.
One thing that would help is repealing the 17th Amendment to the Constitution.  This amendment elects US Senators by popular vote.  Prior to this, the state legislators appointed the Senators to represent the state.  This helped to keep big money from outside the state from controlling the election.  Our founding fathers had it right.  We should change it back.
I like the idea of only allowing political donations from people or companies located within the district represented by the candidate.  Why should outsiders and special interests contribute and have control of a candidate.
We must do something to reform campaign spending.  It has gotten totally out of control.

Purple Mist

Democrats were predicting a blue wave this mid-term election.  History showed this should be the case.  It turned out to be more of a purple mist.
The final count is still unsure as some races are still to be decided.  Election fraud is again apparent.  Florida is a joke.
Democrats did take the House of Representatives, but Republicans lost less than half the number of seats President Obama and President Clinton did in their first mid-term election.  This was a win for the Democrats, but not a convincing win.
The Republicans deserved to lose the House because they had not kept several of their primary campaign promises.  They did not repeal Obama Care, or build the wall in spite of President Trump’s best efforts.  The Republican House did not do their job.
Republicans did maintain control of the Senate.  They not only maintained control, they increased their majority.  This has only happened three times in the last one hundred years in a President’s first mid-term election.  This was clearly a win for the Republicans and President Trump.
The Democrats lost seats in the senate for two reasons.  Trump campaigned tirelessly for Republican senate candidates, and candidates that supported his agenda did well.    The second reason was the disgusting behavior of Democrats during the Kavanaugh hearings for the Supreme Court.
The majority in the Senate is important because of the Supreme Court.  This means we will have a Supreme Court that will support law and order and the Constitution for the next generation.
Will the Democratic controlled House of Representatives work with President Trump in the best interests of the country?  Trump has expressed his willingness to work with the Democrats, and it might be easier than working with the current Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan.  Ryan is a disgrace.
I hope the Democratic Party responsibly represents the country in the House.  They need some new leadership.  People like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, and Adam Schiff are no longer good for the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party must stop letting the radical left run the party.  Some Democrats try to sound like Republicans and distance themselves for Democratic party leaders in order to win.  Something is wrong when a Democratic candidate has to say, “I’m not one of those crazy Democrats.
Hilary Clinton said Democrats could start being civil if they won the House.  That would be nice, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.  With the biased media and radical groups like ANTFA, I don’t expect much civility, cooperation, or working in the best interests of the country.
If Democrats continue with the anti-Trump agenda of obstruction, division, and talk of impeaching Kavanaugh and Trump, we will have two years of stalemate.  The good news for Republicans is that partisan conduct will guarantee the Republicans taking back the House and Trump’s reelection in 2020.

Vote Early - and Vote Often"

This quote is probably from Chicago Mayor William Hale Thompson, but it was often used by Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley and gangster Al Capone.  It is usually said as a joke, but unfortunately we do have way too much voter fraud.
Tomorrow is the election and I hope there is a minimal amount of voter fraud.  It is naive to think there is none.  Anyone committing voter fraud should be prosecuted.
Requiring photo identification is a good step and should be required in every state.  The argument that it disenfranchises poorer voters is absolute BS.  Photo identification is required for many other things every day.
President Trump attempted to identify areas of the highest voter fraud, but many states would not cooperate.  I’m sure there is a high correlation between the states with the most voter fraud and the states that refuse to cooperate.
Absentee ballots and any voting by mail offer an opportunity for voter fraud.  The joke is:  “Grandfather always voted Republican until he died.  Now he votes Democrat.”
Illegal aliens vote with fake identification or with legally issued driver’s licenses that are not carefully checked.  There was an illegal alien woman that was caught voting several times in 2016 with a driver’s license that clearly showed she was not a citizen.
It is easy for collage students to vote both where they go to school and at their parents home.  The chances of getting caught are minimal if different states are involved.
Please vote.  Your vote does count, and as the 2016 election showed, it does make a difference.  If every vote was not so important, people would not be committing the crime of voter fraud.
