Protestors or Idiots - Patriots or Marxists

        Recent demonstrations have turned into riots and looting that destroyed black communities.  Are these people protesting for black equality, or are they intentionally trying to divide the country, with destroying black communities as just collateral damage?  If their intentions are to help blacks and they don’t see the damage they are doing, they really are stupid.  Why do blacks help the WOKE white Marxist idiots burn their neighborhoods?  I like Mark Steyn’s description when he called the demonstrations “The march of the morons.”

        Tearing down statues of Civil War abolitionists just shows the mob’s ignorance of history, or maybe they are just plain ignorant.  They definitely are criminals and need to pay restitution and serve time.

        The real shame is how Democratic mayors and governors allow the riots to continue.  They claim to be the party representing blacks, but their actions show they really could care less about the health and well being of minority communities.  They don’t care if black neighborhoods turn into lawless urban jungles.  They can go home to their safe communities. 

        The Black Lives Matter organization is a real joke.  The facts show the real problem is blacks killing blacks.  BLM could care less about these black lives.   The mob wants to defund the police when the real solution is more proactive policing.  If their real objective is to promote crime in these communities, or divide and destroy the country, they are achieving their objective.  This appears to be the real objective of BLM, ANTIFA, and other extremists like George Soros.

        The most disgusting thing is how political, community, and business leaders, including Republican conservatives, have bowed down to the Marxist mob that is trying to destroy this country.  I have often said that people in this country could lose their freedom if they don’t pay attention.  At my age, I believed it could never happen in my lifetime, but with the recent riots, I am afraid it could. This Marxist movement has been promoted by the left and our universities for several decades.  We are now facing a potential crisis as they continue to push for socialism.

WOKE

         WOKE is usually defined as awoken to or alert to injustice in society with special emphasis on racism.  This political movement originated with young, liberal, white people.  I call it a political movement because it has become a political tool the left uses to gain power.  The left is using white liberals to divide this country.  It has little or nothing to do with helping the black community.  I feel sorry for WOKE liberals that have good intentions, but don’t recognize the damage they are doing to blacks.

        The WOKE movement is not very well organized, but these same people sympathize with, support, or join other better organized and more radical groups like Black Lives Matter (BLM) or ANTIFA.  It is interesting how an organization like ANTIFA, who claims to be anti-fascist, employs militant fascist tactics. 

        The BLM and ANTIFA demonstrations have escalated to riots, looting, arson, and physical violence even including murder.  Their demands to defund the police would lead to total anarchy. 

        I am appalled how political and corporate leaders give in to these criminals.  Giving in and making concessions to the rioters will only promote more riots and violence. 

        The left say they want a real conversation, but if you say anything they don’t agree with, you could be barred from social media or lose your job.  Freedom of speech and the rule of law is a thing of past for the radical left.

        The Democratic Party claims to be the party that is best for black Americans.  Presidential candidate Joe Biden said “If you don’t vote for me you’re not Black.”  The urban areas with the most problems for blacks have had Democratic leadership for decades.  It obviously has not worked out well.  History shows the Democratic Party was the pro slavery party and the Party of the Ku Klux Klan.  They are still trying to divide the county with race.

        The race issue in this country is worse now than it has been in over a dozen years.  Let’s get real for a moment and look at the four major reasons for the political and racial division in this country.  They are:

1.   The radical left of the Democratic Party

2.   Black Lives Mater

3.   ANTIFA

4.   The WOKE movement

        Let’s get over this BS, and stop dividing the country.  We are all Americans.  Let’s act like it and work together.

Opportunity

            The Wuhan Virus has changed our country.  You may or may not feel that shutting down our economy was necessary, but it has increased unemployment and caused many business failures. 

        On the bright side, it has created many opportunities.  The Great Depression of the 1930s was terrible, but it created many new millionaires.  There will be similar potential opportunities resulting from this economic shut-down.  

        I had a good laugh at the toilet paper shortage, but that was a short-term opportunity that produced some price gouging and hoarding.  There are some real long-term opportunities. 

        For some reason there is a shortage of bicycles.  I am not sure why, but several people have told me it is hard to buy a new or even a good used bicycle.  This appears to be more than regional phenomena.  My son in Portland, Oregon said the same is true there.  I put a used mountain bike I had on Craig’s List and sold it for asking price to the first person who called. 

        We have a restaurant in our area that will not be reopening.  This is a restaurant and bar with a good image on the water in a resort area.  It has docks for boats, outside and inside seating, and a renovated kitchen.  I am not a big fan of the restaurant business because it is a tough business for an independent, but this could be a good opportunity for someone with extensive restaurant experience. 

        Many products previously made in other countries like China will soon be made in the United States.  This presents some huge opportunities.

        What will happen to the urban areas that have been destroyed by the idiots trying to divide and destroy this great country?  Will these areas be rebuilt or will people and businesses move out of the cities?  I don’t know, but either way, there will be new opportunities.  If people continue to elect liberal Democrats to run their cities, those cities will continue to decay and enslave people to welfare.

        A lot of independent businesses fail for a variety of reasons.  Franchises do better because they have a proven business model and system.  Finding the right business to fit your expertise and resources is the challenge.

Systemic Racism

        The word “systemic” normally means affecting the whole and/or controlled by a system.  Systemic racism is a political tool and a fake-news buzz phrase.  It is not a reality. 

        Obama made a statement confirming systemic racism which is hilarious.  This is from an individual that was elected President twice with absolutely no qualifications except he was black.  When Obama was elected, I was hopeful that he would reduce racial tensions.  Instead, he made them worse, which fits with all his other failures.

        There are criminals and racists in this country, but they are in the minority. There is no government or private system promoting racism except for affirmative action policies in hiring and college admissions. 

        Affirmative action is by definition racist.  It discriminates against some races in favor of other races.  It also implies the minority given the advantage needs a government created advantage because they are inferior in some way.

        The death of George Floyd was a tragedy and a crime.  I hope the individuals involved are prosecuted under the law, and it appears like that will happen.  Unfortunately, our legal system moves too slowly for swift justice.  For over three years, the individuals who committed criminal acts to control an election and overthrow a duly elected President, have still not been prosecuted.

        The peaceful demonstrations immediately after Floyd’s death were supported by most Americans.  Once the people responsible for Floyd’s death were charged, the protests should have stopped. 

        Instead, outside organizers choreographed the protests into mob violence with looting, destruction, arson, and killing of civilians and police.  This violence has nothing to do with George Floyd and it dishonors his memory.  These riots endanger the property, livelihood, and safety of US citizens.

        Storming and burning churches and police stations is not a demonstration.  It is domestic violence and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  The evidence room of the police station was destroyed with all the evidence.  As a result, violent criminals will be set free. 

        The Democratic mayors and governors have not only failed to stop this domestic violence, but have endorsed it in many cases.  Violent protestors have been released and will never be prosecuted in cities like New York and Washington DC.  Terrorist organizations like ANTIFA must be prosecuted and sent to jail.  The law has to be color blind and have no political agenda.

        I don’t think it is a coincidence that cities with violent mobs are under Democrat control.  These left-wing, liberal elected officials are endangering the citizens they represent in an attempt to divide the country for their political agenda.  They need to be thrown out of office. 

        Black Lives Matters is also a joke.  They didn’t care about a retired black police officer being killed by looters while protecting a friend’s store.  The facts are that a lot more blacks are killed by blacks than blacks killed by whites, and the number of unarmed blacks killed by police officers is very small.  I am saying that ALL lives matter.

        I am an independent politically.  I would be embarrassed to say I was a Democrat today.  What has happened to the Democratic Party?  Being liberal is okay, but the Party has let the radical left take over.    Violent fascist tactics and demonstrations are not okay and are not justified.  I find it hard to believe that most liberal Democrats agree with the radical Left.  The Democrat Party should not put up with it and has to change, and stop using race to divide the county.

CDC - FDA - NIH

        Any of you that have read my book, Business Fits, know how I hate acronyms, but the medical field and government are full of them.  Last week I criticized the World Trade Organization and the World Health Organization.  This week let’s take a look at three organizations in our own government.  

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – CDC

        The CDC was originally formed as Office of National Defense Malaria Control Activities in 1942 for controlling malaria.  In 1946 it was renamed Communicable Disease Center.  The CDC has expanded outside its stated mission and is involved in activities that overlap with other agencies.

        The CDC has a budget of over 11 billion and employs almost 11,000 people.  With this kind of budget and staff you would think they would have been ready for the Wuhan Virus.  Obviously they were not.

Food and Drug Administration – FDA

        The FDA is not much better.  They have almost 15,000 employees and a budget of over $3 billion.  They are too slow to approve drugs and still get it wrong all the time.  The control groups for test studies uses human beings like guinea pigs with part of the people getting placebos.  Do you want to be part of their experiments?  Thank God President Trump has given dying people the option of using drugs that are not approved. 

        I am sick of the fake news attacking Trump for everything he does.  They say he should not be taking hydroxychloroquine that has been approved and proven safe over seven decades with millions of prescriptions dispensed. 

National Institute of Health – NIH

        The NIH has over 20,000 employees with a budget of over $39 Billion.  The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseased is one of twenty-seven divisions making up the NIH.  Anthony Fauci is the Director. 

        Fauci is now famous as the face of science concerning the Wuhan Virus.  He has made many public appearances with President Trump.  He was the one to suggest the country be shut down.  He said we had no choice. 

        Fauci has been proven wrong on every prediction.  He said masks didn’t work and then they did.  He said the virus could be spread on surfaces, and then it couldn’t, and then it could.  He predicted a second wave of the virus, and now is not sure.  He needs to get a job as a weather man.  As a weather man he can be wrong most of the time and still keep his job.    Fauci now admits the shutdown has created “irreparable damage.”  He finally got something right.

        I hope we have learned that many government agencies like the CDC, FDA, and NIH are bloated, inefficient government agencies without focus that operate outside their stated objective and still fail to achieve their assigned mission.  The bureaucrats who run them operate with little or no supervision and believe they can make laws on their own.  It truly is time to “drain the swamp” in many ways. 

        The only good thing about this pandemic is that we may have learned something about how to handle the next one.  We now know shutting down the economy is not the solution.  Trump got was right to shut down international travel when he did.  Of course the Democrats called him racist for doing so at the time.
