Democrat Platform

       The Democrats have had their convention.  They have nominated Joe Biden as their presidential candidate and Kamala Harris as their VP pick.   Let’s review their platform. 

·       Hate Trump

·       Eliminate ICE

·       Defund the police

·       Open the boarders

·       Raise everyone’s taxes

·       Pay restitution to blacks

·       Eliminate private health insurance

·       Address imagined systemic racism

·       Make suburbs pay for urban decay

·       Continue to divide the country on race

·       Free education thru four years of college

·       Green new deal that will collapse our economy

·       Condone street violence (protests) by the far left

·       Advocate for more wars to help the arms industry

·       Eliminate Second Amendment and confiscate guns

·       Promote a globalist economy and world government

·       Continue to indoctrinate our youth with Marxist ideas

·       Free abortions for anyone at any stage of a pregnancy

·       Promise economic health that Trump actually achieved

·       Eliminate free speech that does not agree with their          agenda

·       Big federal government controlling our every aspect of      our lives

·       Free healthcare for everyone including illegal                    immigrants

·       Bailouts for every fiscally incompetent Democrat-run          city and state

·       Stop investigations of political crimes committed by            prior administrations

·       Allow local governments to violate the US Constitution      with resolutions like sanctuary cities

·       Eliminate the Electoral College so New York &                   California elect every future President

     What has happened to the Democratic Party?  I don’t know if I should laugh, cry, or puke.

A Terrible Politician

Donald Trump is a terrible politician because: 

 

·       He says what he thinks and does what he says.

·       He is often not politically correct.

·       What he says doesn’t have hidden meanings.

·       He tells the truth even if it is unpopular

·       He puts the United States of America before globalist’s interests.

·       He doesn’t make promises he doesn’t keep including campaign promises.

·       He doesn’t say what the polls and focus groups tell him. 

·       He doesn’t always agree with his political party.

·       He is not controlled by the political establishment.

·       He does not think unelected bureaucrats should control the government and make laws.

·       He does not give favors to the super rich.

·       He does not have a political base that he is obligated to serve. 

·       He is not obligated to any special interest groups.

·       No campaign donors control of him.

·       He does not have any political allies that he owes favors.

·       When the lame-stream media lies, he calls them out instead of pandering to them.

·       Getting reelected is not more important than doing what is right.

·       He doesn’t use his office to enrich himself, family, or friends.

 

So many career politicians do all of these things.  I can understand why they hate Trump and try to undermine him in any way they can. 

 

What Trump does have is:

 

·       A love for our great country

·       Business experience

·       Management experience

·       Deal making experience

·       An understanding of international trade.

·       He sees and treats all Americans as equal.

·       He does what is best for middle class working Americans.

Control of Schools

      I listed the radical Left’s control of schools as the third greatest threat facing this country.  Our universities today are more about indoctrination than education, and it gets worse every year.

        When I was in college in the late 60s and early 70s we had a few radical Left professors advocating socialist ideas.  They were in the minority then and most of us just laughed them off.  Some of these professors even penalized students who openly disagreed with them.  I did not mind the few socialist professors as I felt a university should expose students to opposing ideas. 

        I have a BBA and an MBA, but I have always been critical of higher education.  In the MBA program, we were taught how to be president of General Motors, when in actuality most of us would maybe run a Ford dealership.  Political agendas should never have been part of the class.

        Three things I felt higher education did were teach how to find information, evaluate that information, and make educated decisions based on the facts.  Emotion and political agenda should never be a consideration.

        Today over 90% of our university professors are far left and teaching Marxism. In most universities, educators with conservative views will never be given tenure.  People with conservative views are no longer allowed to teach or even speak on campus.

        The Left shreds the First Amendment by only allowing free speech when it expresses their radical agenda.  They try to disguise their efforts to prohibit free speech by saying it is about political correctness or stopping hate speech.          This radical agenda is very obvious in people coming out of journalism schools.  The lame-stream media no longer reports the news.

        The Left has done an excellent job of hijacking our education system.  It has now filtered down to our high schools and elementary schools.  Education is now more about propaganda and indoctrination, and less about teaching the basics like reading, writing, math, history, and civics. 

        When the facts don’t fit the Left’s agenda, they use emotion to sell their propaganda.  This is very obvious when looking at today’s protestors who are actually anarchists and criminals.  These protests have nothing to do with black lives. 

        Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”  That statement was never truer than today when we have let our universities turn into indoctrination camps for the left. 

        American patriots have been negligent in letting the radical Marxist left take over our education system.  Why should any state funded school receive money from taxpayers when their agenda is to divide and destroy this great country?  We must turn this around or all our freedoms will be lost.

Chicago

     Chicago is a great city with a rick history.  The city has many Nicknames including; The Windy City, The City That Works, The Heart of America, The City of Big Shoulders, and My Kind of Town.  Chicago is a transportation hub for the farm belt of the country.  

        In 1967-1968 I lived in a north shore Chicago suburb and worked in a western suburb close to O’Hare airport.  The Chicago area was fun at the time.  We went down to State Street, Rush Street, and Piper’s Ally in the city often.  One time my future wife and another couple slept on the beach close to the Planetarium.  The police ran us off about 4:00 AM, and we moved to Navy Pier for the rest of the night.

        The company I worked for had a manufacturing plant on Homan Avenue on the south-side of Chicago.  I had to go to that plant on occasion.  At the time I was driving a 1967 GTO convertible.  It was blue metallic with white top, white interior, Rally 1 wheels, and an 8 track tape player.  When I drove to the plant on the south-side I would leave the GTO on the street with the top down.  Nobody ever touched it.  Maybe they thought it was a police plant or owned by the mob. 

        I lived in the western suburbs of Chicago from 1986 to 1995.  I traveled all over the Chicago metro area.  It was still nice except for the traffic.  I had some great times with my sons in Chicago.  We made visits to Six Flags Great America, the Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, the Museum of Science and History, Brookfield Zoo, and Lincoln Park Zoo.  We saw some pro soccer and the Cubs.

        What has happened to Chicago?  Chicago has had over 2,000 shooting victims and over 400 homicides already this year with as many as 18 fatalities in a single day.  Some of these were children who were shot in broad daylight in their strollers or in their beds at night.  What happened to all the people who claimed to be concerned about protecting children and blacks?  They seem to have better things to do like condoning burning, looting, and violence in an attempt to divide and destroy our country.

        Here are some facts.  Chicago has been controlled by liberal Democrats for over eighty years.  The corruption has run wild.  Chicago has the strictest gun control laws in the country.  Chicago is a sanctuary city.  How is all that working out? 

        Mayor Lori Lightfoot is a joke.  An innocent citizen on the south or west side of Chicago was safer when Al Capone ran the city.  Chicago needs to make some changes that put the needs of ALL Americans first without trying to divide the country for political power.
