How many of you got up at 4:00 AM to watch the royal wedding? I did not.
I just don’t find it interesting.
I am sure it is good entertainment for people who like to watch and are
entertained by the pageantry.
This wedding holds little political significance even in Great Britain , and
Henry is not likely to ever be in line for the crown. The King or Queen of Great Britain holds little power today.
The
wedding did provide entertainment for many people, but does not affect most
people’s life in any significant way. It
will affect fans of the TV series Suits, as Meghan Markle will no longer be on the
show.
The obsession with sports and entertainers are similar. They provide entertainment, but they do not
and should not be given priority over things that actually affect our lives and
the lives of our children in particular, like our government.
Entertainment is good for taking our minds off personal problems or
problems our country faces. There are
many including what may be the worst corruption at the top levels of government
that this country has ever seen.
I do have a problem when people know more about the personal lives of
celebrities than they know about the people who run our country or how our
great republic works. We need to get our
priorities straight, and our educational system needs to do a better job
teaching civics.
God bless President
Trump and guide him to make America great again.
