WTO & WHO

     The United States should not be supporting the World Trade Organization (WTO) or the World Health Organization (WHO).  Neither represents the best interests of our country.  All they want is our money.

     The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trades (GATT) was founded in 1948.  It was replaced by the WTO in 1994 when 123 nations signed up as members.  It officially commenced operation on January 1, 1995.  The stated purpose of the WTO is the reduction of tariffs and other barriers to trade.

       The WTO had a staff of 640 and a budget of $209 million U.S. in 2018.  The WTO is the largest economic and trade organization in the world.  It is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

     The WTO was supported by Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.  It was great for the people wanting a global economy and government.  It made the super rich and the politically connected billions, but was a disaster for working America.

        Anyone looking at the facts knew that the WTO was bad for America.  I expressed concern for our country’s trade deficit in my very first blog on 1/18/2012.  Thank God, President Trump is finally putting America first and ignoring the WTO.  Now it may be, and I hope it is, the end of the WTO. 

       The World Health Organization is no friend of America either, and is part of the globalist movement.  The WHO was founded in 1948 and is also headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.  They are a specialized agency of the United Nations. 

      The United Nations also does nothing for the United States either.  They take our money and vote against our best interests.  They too are a globalist organization.  We need to pull our support and kick them out of New York if they don’t shape up.

        The WHO acted like a publicist to promote China and hide China’s incompetence and crimes.  They lied about everything concerning the Wuhan Virus.  These lies cost thousands of lives around the world.

         There is a need for a world health organization, but that organization has to do its job and not be a propaganda agency for Communist China, or any country.  The current agenda has to stop.   

        The United States is the largest financial supporter of the WHO.  Trump has threatened to cut off our financial support if they don’t change.  If they can’t do their job without favoritism, we need to form a new international heath organization.

What is Wrong with Elected Republicans?

       Thanks to the Michael Flynn case unraveling, we are now exposing the largest political and criminal coup attempt in the history of our country.  My questions are, why did it take so long to be exposed and will anyone be held accountable? 

    The Republicans controlled both the House and the Senate for the first two years of Trump’s Presidency.  It all should have been exposed then.  People should have gone to jail. 

      This is not rocket science.  It should have been obvious to anyone following the facts.  Of course, anyone getting their news from a source like CNN would have no clue.  CNN never gets anything right. It is amazing the fake news is still trying to cover their ass.  They will ever apologize.

May 30, 2017 - Why doesn’t Congress do something about the surveillance of U.S. citizens, unmasking of those citizens, and leaking of that information to the press?  Those leaks are a felony and someone needs to go to jail. 

December 14, 2017 - James Comey, Peter Strzok, Robert Mueller, Andrew Weissmann, Lorette Lynch, and Eric Holder, to name a few, are all guilty of Obstruction of Justice at the very least.  They all should be held accountable.  If people do not go to jail, bureaucrats will assume this kind of corruption is acceptable. 

March 27, 2018 - A few of the people in the corrupt Deep State are:

·        U.S. Attorney General, Loretta Lynch

·        FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe

·        FBI Deputy Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok

·        FBI attorney Lisa Page

·        FBI General Counsel James Baker

·        Director of National Intelligence James Clapper

·        Director of CIA John O. Brennans

·        U.S. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.

·        National Security Advisor Susan Rice

·        Secretary of State Hilary Clinton

          All of these people have lied to Congress and withheld and/or destroyed records requested by Congress.  They all feel they are above the law and accountable to no one, including Congress or the President.  Some have made threats against ANYONE who would dare to oppose them.

          Is this just the tip of the iceberg?  This is not about Democrats or Republicans.  It certainly should not be.  These positions should be totally nonpartisan. 

        Back then, I thought the corruption went all the way to the White House, but I did not feel there was enough evidence to say so at that time.  Now we know President Obama was aware, if not in charge, of the attempted coup of President Trump.

        It is impossible to believe these elected Republicans were that naive or ignorant.  They had to be part of the cover-up. Some Republicans, like House Speaker Paul Ryan, are a disgrace to the Republican Party and to America. 

        Trey Gowdy is now apologizing, saying it was the biggest mistake of his life, or is he just trying to cover his ass?  I like Senator Lindsey Graham’s tough talk, but he never follows up with any action. 

        A few Republicans, like Devin Nunes, Jim Jordan, and Andy Biggs tried to expose the corruption, but no one would listen to them.  I still think it is unlikely anyone will go to jail, but we will see.

Are Seniors Expendable?

    Deaths of patients in New York nursing homes have now exceeded 5,000.  Are these people expendable?  New York governor, Andrew Cuomo thinks these people are just an unnecessary expense.

        Cuomo ordered nursing homes to accept patients infected with the Wuhan virus, even though most medical experts state that the elderly are most likely to die from the virus.  Cuomo does not care. 

        Nursing home management pleaded that people infected with the virus not be sent to the nursing homes, because they did not have the equipment to treat patients, or the facilities to properly quarantine the sick, or adequate protective apparel for their staff.

        There were other places for people infected with the Wuhan virus to go.  Hospitals had empty beds.  Only 100 of 400 beds in the special hospital built by the Army Corps of Engineers were ever used.  The Navy’s hospital ship, the USNS Comfort, was hardly utilized.  

        Sending people infected with the Wuhan virus to nursing homes and infecting seniors was careless, reckless, and even criminal.  Somebody should be charged with homicide for this decision. 

        One of the fears of government provided health care is that treatment will be withheld from seniors who the government considers to be no longer productive to society.  Is this a realistic concern? 

        There seems to be a common denominator for the state governors who have handled the pandemic badly.  Anyone care to guess what that is? 

        There was even talk that Governor Cuomo should be the Democratic nominee for President.  Crazy idea, but it might have been promoted by his brother’s voice on CNN.

        In the last decade, a lot of things have happened in our great country that I would have said could never happen in the home of the free.

Governors & Lockdowns

        Much of our country has lived through some kind of a lockdown or stay-at-home order due to the Wuhan virus.  I am impressed that President Trump has given guidelines, but left individual decisions up to the state governors. 

        The Federal Government has gotten too big and too powerful.  States, counties, and cities need to be making more of the decisions governing our lives.  This is especially true with the Wuhan virus.  States, counties and cities are all different.  There is no one-size-fits-all solution.  

        We have had demonstrations at our Wisconsin state capital because of the poor decisions made by our state’s governor.  I have friends who were part of these protests.  They are responsible adults who were fed up with the Governor. The protests were peaceful, non-destructive demonstrations. 

        Wisconsin’s governor is Tony Evers, who is a liberal Democrat.  He was elected due to the efforts and money of the Wisconsin teacher’s public-sector union and the liberal left cities of Milwaukee and Madison.  I have to admit that I was shocked at his election as I never considered him to be a serious contender. 

        Initially most of the population went along with it when he shut down the economy for health reasons.  But, when he should have been opening up most of the state outside of Milwaukee and Madison, he extended the lockdown for everyone.  People have revolted in many ways.  There were the demonstrations at the capitol, but some people stopped social distancing and wearing masks.  Some businesses have opened and ignored the shutdown. 

        Some state governor’s decisions have been made for purely political power with no regard for the health or well being of their state’s people.  Michigan’s Governor, Gretchen Whitmer is a good example.  She has gone to the extreme left in an attempt to be Joe Biden’s Vice Presidential running mate. 

        Maine’s governor, Janet Mills is another example of going off the rails with a total disregard for the people of her state.  I expect a total disregard for her lockdown.  The people of Maine are fed up with her.

        Governor Evers extending the lockdown backfired.  He lost control and what respect he did have.  The state legislature opposed the one-size-fits-all approach and has taken it to the state supreme court.  The urban areas of Milwaukee and Madison need more restrictions than the rest of the state.

        In our little county, we have only identified six cases of the virus.  There have been zero deaths.  Four of the six are fully recovered and out of quarantine. 

        A care facility was converted to a hospital to provide additional beds when the hospitals became overrun with Wuhan virus cases.  That never happened.  Instead the existing hospitals are furloughing people and almost shutdown because they canceled elective medical procedures. 

        People’s health is being hurt.  People are out of work.  The economy is in shambles.  Government at all levels will be running over budget due to reduced revenue from loss of sales taxes.  It is time to open up the economy and trust the public to take appropriate precautions.
