WTO & WHO

The United States should not be supporting the World Trade Organization (WTO) or the World Health Organization (WHO).  Neither represents the best interests of our country.  All they want is our money.
The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trades (GATT) was founded in 1948.  It was replaced by the WTO in 1994 when 123 nations signed up as members.  It officially commenced operation on January 1, 1995.  The stated purpose of the WTO is the reduction of tariffs and other barriers to trade.
The WTO had a staff of 640 and a budget of $209 million U.S. in 2018.  The WTO is the largest economic and trade organization in the world.  It is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
The WTO was supported by Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.  It was great for the people wanting a global economy and government.  It made the super rich and the politically connected billions, but was a disaster for working America.
Anyone looking at the facts knew that the WTO was bad for America.  I expressed concern for our country’s trade deficit in my very first blog on 1/18/2012.  Thank God, President Trump is finally putting America first and ignoring the WTO.  Now it may be, and I hope it is, the end of the WTO.

The World Health Organization is no friend of America either, and is part of the globalist movement.  The WHO was founded in 1948 and is also headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.  They are a specialized agency of the United Nations.
The United Nations also does nothing for the United States either.  They take our money and vote against our best interests.  They too are a globalist organization.  We need to pull our support and kick them out of New York if they don’t shape up.
The WHO acted like a publicist to promote China and hide China’s incompetence and crimes.  They lied about everything concerning the Wuhan Virus.  These lies cost thousands of lives around the world.
There is a need for a world health organization, but that organization has to do its job and not be a propaganda agency for Communist China, or any country.  The current agenda has to stop.
The United States is the largest financial supporter of the WHO.  Trump has threatened to cut off our financial support if they don’t change.  If they can’t do their job without favoritism, we need to form a new international heath organization.

God bless President Trump and guide him to make America great again.

Trump did not bring division.  Division brought Trump.
If you don’t see that, then you’re part of the problem.

  1. WHO and WTO have made their mistakes but who’s perfect? Is the U.S. policy toward isolationism a remedy or a future calamity?

The U.S. is far from a perfect record and should own up to it:

The U.S. purposely violated free trade by imposing retaliatory tariffs on goods from China. Most of those tariffs are still in place, continuing to affect the cost of consumer goods and diminishing ag export volumes. Little has been solved.

The U.S. administration has been grossly negligent in the handling of the COVID19 virus. So much more could have been done, so much earlier, to save lives.

January 24 the U.S. President states: “China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American people I want to thank President Xi.”

January 30: WHO declares a public-health emergency. The U.S. President states: We think we have it well under control. We have very little problem at this moment – five – and those people are all recuperating successfully. But we’re working very closely with China and other countries, and we think it’s going to have a very good ending for us … that I can assure you.”

January 31: Travelers from China barred from entering the U.S.

February 10 the U.S. President states: “I had a long talk with President Xi – for people in this room – two nights ago, and he feels very confident. He feels very confident. And he feels that, again as I mentioned, by April or during the month of April, the heat, generally speaking, kills this kind of virus.”

February 24 the U.S. President states: The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC and World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stack Market starting to look very food to me.”

February 27 the U.S. President states: “it’s going to disappear. One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”

March 9 the U.S. President states: “so last year 37,000 Americans died from the common flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down; life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that.”

March 11 the U.S. President states: “we will be suspending all travel from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days.”

March 24 the U.S. President states: I would love to have the country opened up and just raring to go by Easter. I think Easter Sunday - you’ll have packed churches all over our country. We begin to see light at the end of the tunnel”

March 29 the U.S. President states: The better you do, the faster this whole nightmare will end. Therefore, we will be extending our guidelines to April 30th to slow the spread. We can expect that, by June 1st., a lot of great things will be happening.

April 24 the U.S. Vice President predicted that the U.S. would “have this coronavirus epidemic behind us” by Memorial Day weekend.

You know what they say about glass houses! The problem with thinking you are smarter than collectively everyone else, is you are not. Isolationism does not work and eventually paints one into a corner. Our country should continue to be global leader and participant, or we will soon be a follower.
