Fascism

There are many different definitions of fascism.  Some are so political that they associate it with the right which is ridiculous.  I like the Free Dictionary definition:  “a political theory advocating an authoritarian hierarchical government (as opposed to a democracy or libertarianism.”

ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter are clearly fascist organizations that riot and loot, but are seldom prosecuted for their crimes.  This is ridiculous when they claim to be anti-fascist.

This country is facing a crisis.  Most third world countries are not as blatant as President Biden. He has introduced a policy called National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism.  This policy gives the FBI the authority to attack any of Biden’s opponents and anyone who opposes big government.  The FBI has been doing this illegally for over five years, but now they can do it legally.

Biden claims this policy is aimed at White Separatists, which basically don’t exist.  They can’t even name one group or individual.  I could name two organizations that definitely qualify as domestic terrorist.

The National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism concentrates on certain areas.  They are:

·       Continuing the Critical Race Theory to further divide this country on race.

·       Go after anyone opposed to big government and authority.

·       Go after anyone who incites violence.  This means anyone who disagrees with an official government is inciting violence.

If this does not scare you, it should.  Stating your opinion could put you in solitary confinement with no chance for bail.  Don’t think it can’t happen to you.  It is already happening.  Look at the facts around the January 6th Congressional demonstrations.

  1. I don’t know what your sources are for the opinions in this blog, but a few facts will directly contradict your assessment of the National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism.

Under the 2001 USA Patriot Act, domestic terrorism is defined as "activities that (A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the U.S. or of any state; (B) appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and (C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.

The former administration had disbanded a team specializing in domestic terrorism intelligence at the Department of Homeland Security.

The current administration’s strategy says its focus is “specifically on addressing violence and the factors that lead to violence” and not on any political movement. The strategy plainly states that the top threats are related to white supremacy and anti-government militias, a welcome change.

The following are direct quotes from June 15 remarks by AG Merrick Garland:

“According to an unclassified summary of the March intelligence assessment, the two most lethal elements of the domestic violence extremist threat are “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, and militia violent extremists.” In the FBI’s view, the top domestic violent extremist threat comes from “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, specifically those who advocated for the superiority of the white race.”

The March assessment concluded that the militia violent extremist threat, which it describes as those who “take overt steps to violently resist or facilitate the overthrow of the United States Government in support of their belief that the United States Government is purportedly exceeding its Constitutional authority,” also “increased last year and . . . will almost certainly continue to be elevated throughout 2021.”

In response to these many and serious challenges, the National Strategy today seeks to confront the threat from all angles. The Strategy rests on four “pillars,” each of which is essential to support the whole:

“First are efforts to understand and share information regarding the full range of domestic terrorism threats. Second are efforts to prevent domestic terrorists from successfully recruiting, inciting, and mobilizing Americans to violence. Third are efforts to deter and disrupt domestic terrorist activity before it yields violence. And finally, the long-term issues that contribute to domestic terrorism in our country must be addressed to ensure that this threat diminishes over generations to come.”

The actions that agencies are taking in support of the National Strategy are held together by several core principles. First, we are focused on violence, not on ideology. In America, espousing a hateful ideology is not unlawful. We do not investigate individuals for their First Amendment-protected activities.

Our focus, as members of the Department of Justice – and as a federal government – is to prevent, disrupt, and deter unlawful acts of violence, whatever their motive. As the National Strategy makes clear, there is no place for “violence as a means of resolving political differences in our democracy.”

  2. It is preposterous say the National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism has anything to do with critical race theory.

Those that have trumped up this idea are opposed to educators teaching anything about history that concerns race. To the extreme that would include but not be limited to: were there slave ships, were blacks counted as 3/5 of a person in early census figures, what was the Trail of Tears, what caused the Civil War, what are Jim Crow laws, what were the Tulsa race riots, what's a Green Book for Black travelers, what is real estate redlining, who was Jackie Robinson, why was it necessary to have a Civil Rights Act, a Voting Rights Act, a Fair Housing Act?

    These are facts not theories.

  3. Who is is solitary confinement for stating their opinion?

There are no facts that justify calling January 6 a "demonstration."

January 6 was a Trump rally designed to enrage a crowd. They were told to "fight like hell and walk up Pennsylvania Avenue" to the Capital. Many did, and 500 or more directly participated in an attempted an insurrection. 480 have now been charged with a number of crimes. Not one has been charged with stating their opinion.

  4. Correction regarding Terry's January 6 "demonstration."

10,000 people marched down Pennsylvania Ave. and stormed the Capital grounds that day.

800 of them broke into the Capital building.

The rioters were armed with ax handles, bats, metal batons, wooden poles, hockey sticks and other weapons.

The attack resulted in 5 deaths and 140 police officers assaulted.
