God Bless America

I am so thankful to have been born and lived in the United States of America.  I grew up in the 1940s and 1950’s.  I graduated from high school in 1962 which was the same year as the movie American Graffiti depicting the time.   It was a great time to be a kid.

We celebrated Independence Day last Sunday.  Our Founding Fathers risked everything to declare independence and create this great republic.  They studied many types of government including the Greeks and Romans, and took the best of all.  It has been the greatest form of government in the history of the world.  We have experienced freedoms and opportunities like no other country.  That is why so many people have and want to immigrate here.

One danger is that we have had it so good for so long that we assume it can never change, but it can and is.  Many people have been willing to risk or give their lives to preserve our freedoms.

If our country falls, it will be from within and not from a foreign power.  This was what our Founding Fathers tried to protect us from.  They wanted to limit the power of the federal government in order to protect individual freedoms.  Our unelected government bureaucrats have become way too powerful.   President Ronald Reagan said: “Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction.”

We must preserve this great republic.   The radical left is trying to destroy the country in order to replace freedom with Marxism.  Marxism has never, and will never, work, but it is great for the political elite.  They want to divide the country by race using tools like Critical Race Theory falsely claiming systemic racism and white supremacy.  They want to erase history and brainwash our children into thinking the country is evil.

It is not too late to save this great republic, but we must get the facts and get involved.

  1. So glad you are “so thankful to have been born and lived in the United States of America.” You professed we have “the greatest form of government in the history of the world. We have experienced freedoms and opportunities like no other country.”

Now maybe you can stop writing and complaining and criticizing all the things you think are wrong in our country – like voting systems, government agencies, law enforcement (FBI), educational systems, freedom of the press etc. We can hope anyway.
