Last week was the one-year anniversary of the January 6th Capital protest, which got out of control and turned into a riot. No one was killed except for one unarmed white female veteran that was not doing anything wrong except, possibly, trespassing. She certainly was not a danger to anyone and she was murdered by a Capital Policeman.
President
Biden and V.P. Harris compared this to the Civil War;
Biden
and Harris did get one thing right. They
said our democracy and Constitution are in danger. They are 100% correct. If they get their way we will become a
Marxist country with no personal freedoms.
We
need an investigation of what happened on January 6th, but a real
investigation. Not the political
witch-hunt we have now. Trump supporters
have been arrested and held in jail for over a year. Zero charges of insurrection have been
filled. Most of these people are charged
with simple trespassing. The civil
liberties of these people have clearly been violated.
Why
was there not adequate security? Everyone
knew about the protest for days. Trump
offered the National Guard. Pelosi and
the Democrats refused.
What
role did the FBI undercover agents play in encouraging protestors to breach the
Capital? We know they were in the crowd
and they have not been questioned.
Trump
supporters are being held as political prisoners. The “brown shirts” in the FBI and DOJ must be
held accountable. This is the kind of
thing that happens in
Why
are the Democrats creating this lie and political theater about January 6th? They have nothing else. All their policies including the economy,
I
will be happy when the Congress returns to their job of legislating and stops
the hoax hearings to discredit their political opponents.

The lies in this blog just keep coming. First, a false description of arrests resulting from the Jan. 6 event. Here are the facts:
ReplyDeleteFederal prosecutors have charged more than 725 individuals with multiple crimes in connection with the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection.
225 people were charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers or employees.
75 of those were charged with using a deadly or dangerous weapon against police officers or causing serious bodily injury to an officer.
140 police officers, including Capitol officers and members of the D.C. police department, were victimized during the attack.
10 individuals were charged with assaulting members of the media or destroying their equipment.
640 people were charged with entering a restricted federal building or its grounds.
Ashli Babbitt was fatally shot by a Capitol Police officer as she tried to breach a set of doors deep in the Capitol during the riot.
The attack caused about $1.5 million worth of damage to the building.
About 165 individuals have pleaded guilty to a variety of federal charges, from misdemeanors to felony obstruction.
So far, 70 defendants have been sentenced. Of those, 31 people were ordered jailed, and 18 were sentenced to home detention. The remaining defendants were placed on probation.
The next lie regards an insinuation the FBI was involved in the attack on the Capital.
Here’s what happens when Tucker Carson listens to Ted Cruz and proposes conspiracy theories to his listeners. This blogger, tuning in to his self-proclaimed favorite Fox network show, furthers the theory by proposing an unfounded question of undercover FBI agents encouraging protestors to storm the Capital. By his question, he is alleging that Ray Epps, caught on camera on January 5 telling people to charge the Capital, was acting on behalf of the FBI. Mr. Epps has never been employed by or ever been an informant of the FBI any other law enforcement agency.
Finally, repeating a lie offered by the twice impeached former president having claimed he offered National Guard troops prior to Jan. 6.
In a Dec. 13, 2021 Facebook video post, “Trump Says Pelosi Turned Down His Request For 10,000 National Guard Troops For Jan. 6 Rally…!!!”
The video was from Trump speaking to a crowd on Dec. 11 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he claimed he recommended 10,000 National Guard troops be deployed because he knew the crowd size was going to be "enormous."
Trump has repeatedly attempted to blame that on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., claiming she rejected his request to deploy 10,000 National Guard troops to the Capitol ahead of his rally.
Trump’s first made the statement during a Fox News appearance, but it’s still not true. There is no evidence Trump made any formal request about deploying 10,000 National Guard troops before the rally.
A government memo about the events leading up to Jan. 6, statements from Pelosi’s office and the Pentagon, and testimony from the former House sergeant-at-arms show Trump did not request 10,000 troops ahead of the rally.
Trump’s claim is one of many efforts by Republicans and supporters of the twice impeached former president to shift blame and downplay the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
Will the lies ever stop?
Here is a direct quote from this blog:
ReplyDelete“The January 6th hearings are a travesty of injustice. This was a peaceful and justified demonstration that got out of control.”
This blogger must have been busy when the riot broke out at the Capital on January 6 2021. A large audience was watching TV most of that afternoon and I doubt anyone would have seriously described it as peaceful. The blogger must not have been watching TV that day.
Since that eventful day, most of us have learned a great deal about the crowd and the planning that went it to it. Many individuals have been charged with seditious conspiracy. Some have plead guilty. Others may still be charged. Now we are learning a great deal more about potential crimes at the highest levels of the former administration.
Since this blog was likely posted before the Tuesday hearing of the January 6 Committee, it would not be fair to criticize lack of knowledge on the latest findings, but they are damming.
We learned there were lots of dangerous weapons in the crowd at the Washington monument. Those illegally carrying (against the law in Washington DC) were not allowed in the Ellipse because of weapons screening. The then President asked that they be let in anyway, and when they were not, told them to march to the Capital with him. That is evidence of intent for an armed insurrection.
Had the blogger been watching the televised hearings before his post he certainly would not with good conscious have referred to January 6th as “a peaceful and justified demonstration that got out of control.”
