$55 Million Wasted

The Democrats lost the race for Georgia’s sixth congressional seat.  They spent over thirty million dollars on a race for a two year seat in the House of Representatives.  The Republicans countered by spending close to twenty-five million.  Campaign spending is out of control and has to stop.  This money can be better spent in many ways.
Democrats tried to make this Congressional race into a referendum against President Trump and his agenda.  This is the fourth special election in which Democrats have tried to do this, and they have received a resounding defeat every time.  Trump’s support seems to be continually growing.  If the Republicans in the Senate would get their act together, we would see fantastic change for the better.
Democrats have to wake up and acknowledge that the people of this great country want real change like Donald Trump proposed in his campaign.  He is implementing those changes.  Trump ran against the political elite and for America’s working people.
In the past, the Democratic Party represented the working class of this country, and that is no longer the case.  When did they become the party of Hollywood celebrities and the political elite?  What happened, when, and why did they change?
Democrats have to recognize that they can no longer have tired old politicians like Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi leading the party.  Politicians have to listen to the all the people and not just special interest groups and big money.  They must stop continually increasing the size of government.
If the Democratic Party does not change, they may not survive.  This country is going through a major change at this time.  The Democrats need to be involved in the legislative process and contribute to that change.  If they continue to have no agenda except to discredit President Trump, they contribute nothing.  What a shame.

God bless President Trump and guide him to make America great again.

Political Responsibility

The liberal left has taken politics to a level of violence and destruction.  This has got to stop.  It is hurting everyone in this country including the liberal left.
A man with a long history of anti-Trump and anti-Republican history started shooting at Republicans at a baseball practice.  Congressman Steve Scalis was seriously injured.  The left say the gunman was mentally ill and it had nothing to do with politics, and/or they blame guns.  A friend of the gunman said that he wasn’t evil; he just didn’t like our current politics.  The left has to accept some of the responsibility.
Kathy Griffin thinks it was okay to show a mockup of bloody head of President Trump on Television and does not think she has any responsibility for the influence she might have on someone who might take similar violent action.  She did it intentionally for ratings and to suck up to the radical and violent left.
Shakespeare in the Park is a play that depicts the assassination of President Trump.  The producers defend the play by saying it is just art.  We can do without this kind of art.  The play is obviously intended to appeal to the radical left, and is sponsored by The New York Times. This should not surprise anyone as The New York Times is one of the worst offenders of making news out of fake, anonymous, and illegal leaks.
In a recent show of Law and Order SUV an Assistant District Attorney for the sanctuary city of New York referred to President Trump as the “crazy thug down in D.C.”  Another line was “Mexicans love tequila and raping. Just ask the President.”  This is one of my favorite TV shows, but with this kind of anti-Trump lies, I may not watch it again.
College campuses protest conservative speakers.  Events are cancelled because the universities cannot guarantee the safety of the speakers or even of the people attending.  It is amazing to me how liberals protest human rights violations in other countries when they deny freedom of speech in this country.
The lame stream media is so biased that they in effect promote destructive and violent liberal action.  They use fake news to rile up the radical left.
Politicians are also at fault.  The left is so intent on hurting President Trump that they are totally ineffective in the legislative process.  They give the radical left the idea that violence is the only option open to them.  Statements like, “there will be blood in the streets” are inflammatory and dangerous.
The left is promoting violence in many ways.  Saying someone is so passionate about their cause is no excuse for violence.  Blaming guns is just a copout.

God bless President Trump and guide him to make America great again.

Capitalization

Adequate capital is essential for any business; lack of capital is the number one cause of business failure.  A minimum investment is required in order to compete in the marketplace.
This is especially true for new business startups.  One of the myths addressed in Business Fits is “Start small and grow.”  This seldom works.  The idea of growing a business out of profits doesn’t work.  Growth requires additional capitalization.
When I bought a Ford/Mercury dealership, my capitalization was under Ford’s guidelines.  I could not see where I would use all the capital.  I found out in less than ninety days.  The dealership was in bad shape when I bought it.  It was easy to improve the business and we tripled business in three months.
This rapid growth created such demands on capital that we could have been out of business in four months.  As with most automobile dealerships, the local banks are not large enough to provide all the necessary financing.  I was getting calls from my banker that he had received a sight draft and we were over our credit limit and overdrawn.  Luckily, I had silent investors that were initially aware of this potential problem and had the deep pockets needed to provide additional capital.
I advise new business startups to project all potential costs.  Then go back and revise the estimates to the high side anticipating maximum delays.  Then double the total and it will probably still be low.
Franchising is successful partially because a good franchisor will not award a franchise to a franchisee that is undercapitalized.  I have heard entrepreneurs say they would not buy a franchise because they can do the same thing cheaper on their own.  This is not true and is a recipe for failure.
Private sector business requires capital.  Unlike big government, money is not unlimited.   Private businesses cannot just tax, borrow, and spend like there is no reckoning in the future.  I hope we are getting rid of the political elite with this attitude.

God bless President Trump and guide him to make America great again.

Paris Climate Accord

President Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord last week, a very smart move because it was a bad agreement that hurt the US economy and was costing American jobs.  This is President Trump keeping one more of his campaign promises.
The agreement was not binding because it was never approved by the Senate as required by law.  It was also a farce because it gave a pass to all the world’s worst polluters.  The agreement had no enforcement method to make these countries comply at any point in the future.
Other world countries objected to the US pulling out of the agreement.  Of course they did.  The agreement gave them a clear economic advantage over the United States.  It was just one more attempt to transfer wealth from the US to other second and third world countries.
The lame stream media says a large majority of our country is opposed to Trump’s decision.  I totally disagree with this statement.  This must be based on the same polls and media that said Trump never had a chance to win the Presidency.
I am not opposed to protecting the environment.  I advocate repairing things rather than replacing them.  We live in a throw-away society.
I am a fan of recycling waste.  In our county, we have one of the two waste-to-energy plants in Wisconsin.  We are struggling to keep it operational after 31 years.  Burning waste and turning it into steam and energy eliminates 90% of the waste going into a landfill, plus we are generating energy.  If the federal government is serious about protecting the environment, they should consider helping waste-to-energy plants.
I believe in climate change.  This area of Wisconsin was once covered by a glacier.  That glacier melted due to climate change.  What was the cause?  I don’t know, but I do know it was not caused by man-made carbon emissions.
We recently had an F3 tornado a block north of us.  It was on the ground for 83 miles and was up to one-half of a mile wide.  The devastation is unbelievable.  Mere mortals have as much chance of controlling the climate as we do of controlling that tornado.  We better start concentrating on controlling the things we can control and leave the rest to God.

God bless President Trump and guide him to make America great again.
