Systemic Racism

The word “systemic” normally means affecting the whole and/or controlled by a system.  Systemic racism is a political tool and a fake-news buzz phrase.  It is not a reality.
Obama made a statement confirming systemic racism which is hilarious.  This is from an individual that was elected President twice with absolutely no qualifications except he was black.  When Obama was elected, I was hopeful that he would reduce racial tensions.  Instead, he made them worse, which fits with all his other failures.
There are criminals and racists in this country, but they are in the minority. There is no government or private system promoting racism except for affirmative action policies in hiring and college admissions.
Affirmative action is by definition racist.  It discriminates against some races in favor of other races.  It also implies the minority given the advantage needs a government created advantage because they are inferior in some way.
The death of George Floyd was a tragedy and a crime.  I hope the individuals involved are prosecuted under the law, and it appears like that will happen.  Unfortunately, our legal system moves too slowly for swift justice.  For over three years, the individuals who committed criminal acts to control an election and overthrow a duly elected President, have still not been prosecuted.
The peaceful demonstrations immediately after Floyd’s death were supported by most Americans.  Once the people responsible for Floyd’s death were charged, the protests should have stopped.
Instead, outside organizers choreographed the protests into mob violence with looting, destruction, arson, and killing of civilians and police.  This violence has nothing to do with George Floyd and it dishonors his memory.  These riots endanger the property, livelihood, and safety of US citizens.
Storming and burning churches and police stations is not a demonstration.  It is domestic violence and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  The evidence room of the police station was destroyed with all the evidence.  As a result, violent criminals will be set free.
The Democratic mayors and governors have not only failed to stop this domestic violence, but have endorsed it in many cases.  Violent protestors have been released and will never be prosecuted in cities like New York and Washington DC.  Terrorist organizations like ANTIFA must be prosecuted and sent to jail.  The law has to be color blind and have no political agenda.
I don’t think it is a coincidence that cities with violent mobs are under Democrat control.  These left-wing, liberal elected officials are endangering the citizens they represent in an attempt to divide the country for their political agenda.  They need to be thrown out of office.
Black Lives Matters is also a joke.  They didn’t care about a retired black police officer being killed by looters while protecting a friend’s store.  The facts are that a lot more blacks are killed by blacks than blacks killed by whites, and the number of unarmed blacks killed by police officers is very small.  I am saying that ALL lives matter.
I am an independent politically.  I would be embarrassed to say I was a Democrat today.  What has happened to the Democratic Party?  Being liberal is okay, but the Party has let the radical left take over.    Violent fascist tactics and demonstrations are not okay and are not justified.  I find it hard to believe that most liberal Democrats agree with the radical Left.  The Democrat Party should not put up with it and has to change, and stop using race to divide the county.

God bless President Trump and guide him to make America great again.

Trump did not bring division.  Division brought Trump.
If you don’t see that, then you’re part of the problem.

  1. I see a lot of grammar and spelling errors in your post. Did you have trouble seeing the computer screen through your KKK hood?

  2. To say that no government system exists that promotes racism and profiling is naive at best. How many unjustified killings of black men and women by police officers, part of a government system, have to happen to see it? George Floyd was only one the latest of many to be targeted and killed. Why should the protests stop if the killings do not?

Affirmative action in college admissions is to promote diversity. Only someone protecting an elitist majority would describe the actions as confirming inferiority of the minority. Diversity enables a broader understanding of the real world, not the sheltered world of a privileged white majority.

The persons responsible for George Floyd’s death have been charged. Predicting a conviction and how long it will take is difficult, and now pointless. There is no logical reason to compare the murder charges of 4 police officers and the pace of justice to uncharged criminal acts alleging the overthrow of a president elected with the aid of a foreign government. If there are legitimate charges to be filed, the head of the DOJ that is ready, willing and able.

President Obama did confirm the existence of racism. His election and eight-year term made overt racism comments openly popular by many throughout the country. As for Obama’s qualifications here’s how they compare to the 12 presidents prior to the current office holder.

    1932 – male, white, governor
1948 – male, white, vice president
1952 – male, white, commander of the Allied Army in WW II
    1960 – male, white, senator
1968 – male, white, vice president, legislator
    1976 – male, white, governor
    1980 – male, white, governor
1988 – male, white, vice president
    1992 – male, white, governor
    2000 – male, white, governor
    2008 – male, black, senator
2016 – male, white, TV personality

The author of this blog has previously indicated a residence in Barron County Wisconsin. Wikipedia states an approximate 46,000 county population. The demographics of the population include 98% white and less than 0.2% black. Does that explain the comment that black lives matter is a joke? A step or two out into the rest of world could bring about some realism on the subject of racism.

  3. Bottom line is that there will be no bipartisan good faith effort to solve the racial divide, as long as Democrats benefit politically by using the label "racist" to stifle debate and gain votes. Sad, that the political party that has benefited so much from Afican American support since 1965, has delivered so little, in the many decades Democrats have been in sole control of most major population centers. Seems that the dozens of people shot in Chicago in the last few months don't really matter, which means that liberals are somewhat correct that "all" lives don't matter.

  4. There seems to be a pattern to Terry Lee’s posts on the subject of race relations. Here are direct quotes from a number of blogs in the last 8 years:

8/07/12 -- “I do not consider myself to be a racist and I don’t think most white people are today.”
3/25/13 -- “I have the right to disagree with a political policy and not be called a racist.’
7/07/13 -- Attended a 1961 MLK speech where he claimed “the point of his speech was that all white people were racists and discriminated against blacks. He didn’t know me, and I did not think he had the right to call me a racist. I did not consider myself a racist and I certainly did not think all white people were racist.”
7/07/13 -- “I recognize some people are still racist for various reasons based on their past personal experiences. I have to admit I have a prejudice based on past experiences. This prejudice is based on a small personal sample that doesn’t happen to involve blacks, but it does influence me.
I hope we are past discrimination based on race, religion or sex to the point we can eliminate quotas and treat all people as equal based on who they are and what they have to offer. There was a time when affirmative action was warranted. I hope we are past that time. “
7/27/13 --“Everyone has prejudices based on their personal experiences. This is normal and maybe even good. It may be part of our life’s learning experiences. A prejudice may not be racist.”
12/30/14 -- “I thought we had come a long way in the last forty plus years, but unfortunately too many people promote racism and race baiting for political, financial, and personal reasons.’
7/19/16 -- “The facts are that 95% of blacks killed are by blacks and only 1% by police. One way to stop this is by having a more proactive police presence in high crime areas, but Black Lives Matter is opposed to this.”
7/22/17 -- “The option might be to try to name all extremist groups that have been violent or promoted violence during a protest. Let’s try that. I condemn the Ku Klux Klan, Black Panthers, Muslim Brotherhood, White Supremists, Black Lives Matter, Neo-Nazis, Anti-Fascism, Wisconsin Education Association Council, Communists, and the Council on American-Islamic Relations.”
10/10/17 -- “We see blacks rioting and destroying their own neighborhoods. How can this help eliminate the racial divide? It just makes them look stupid.
Black Lives Matters disrespect the police when the police are the most important force protecting their lives and property. Can we blame police for not wanting to be proactive in urban areas?
We had a black President who immediately took the black side in any black/white incident without any consideration of the facts. It is hard not to call this racist. He set race relations back two decades.
Liberal whites must stop supporting black protests, demonstrations, and riots. All they are doing is deepening the racial divide.”
5/29/18 -- “We are all Americans and everyone should be given an equal opportunity. This should not mean giving special preference to any minority or special interest group in hiring or college admissions.
It is impossible to give an advantage to one group of people without discriminating against other groups. We have made mistakes in the past, but we cannot rewrite history by discriminating against other groups. We must learn from history.”

When discussing race relations with friends and business associates I am careful not to call someone racist. Invariably the discussion leads to the person declaring they are not racist. I would call it a TELL!
